This home and myself are far from Spain… in a beautiful sunny California location, and so with this in mind, a mural is being created.

I have found that allowing oneself to create in the moment expresses your current emotions & thoughts. and so..this painting has taken many color changes.

One day brought vibrant sunny colors, the next morning upon view it..thoughts of “wow that’s so intense”..so the desire to tame it down, by using white…only to later feel this was too contrasting…so soft blues and aqua greens were added for the feeling of more balance.

All of the thoughts and emotions propelled changes to a painting that was special just the way it was.

Just like a kaleidoscope, all is beautiful in the moment.

So the painted Mandala currently hangs on a Golden Venetian Plaster Wall.

I could paint on it everyday & change it to however I happen to feel or think.
But I have chosen to accept it, knowing that it is I who is in constant change!

My first blog post, why am I doing this and my latest creative therapy session. The eye of the mandala

I’m currently working on a painting that has evolved from the desire to paint a mandala,,,But why paint a mandala that is frozen, precise and never changing?

The world is in constant change. Energy is always in motion.

As an artist, I notice that even the creation process is always in motion..it changes from moment to moment.

So the painting that was to be a mandala, became a mandala in motion,,and currently is my therapy painting.

The Therapy is to free myself of painting any preconceived subject matter,,to just paint and take note of the emotions, decisions, and thoughts that evolve as I create.
